Virbac, a laboratory specializing in animal health, is launching the first treatment in Europe that combines both nutrition and medicine to facilitate the management of chronic kidney disease in cats.

This disease affects 10 to 15% of cats and impacts their quality of life, as well as that of their owners.

By integrating the treatment directly within food, Virbac facilitates long-term management and helps improve cats’ well-being.

To express this innovation, Virbac needed a name that reflected the unique promise that comes from associating medicine and nutrition: VIKALY, to recall what is vital to the kidneys (“kidney/k”). Vikaly, to convey the promise of vitality.
